Challenges at Brick Fiesta 2012
These five challenges will be a blast to watch. They will also be a lot more fun to participate in! So, start your building NOW! All of these require that you bring a pre-built MOC to compete. Catch Me If You Can!
This event is for any LEGO robot that can follow a line either by autonomous program or with a remote control. The minimum construction requirements are that the robot is built with LEGOs, but the controller can be either Power Functions, NXT or even Arduino. The game format is two LEGO robots on a field with an oval shaped black line and some boundary objects that will knock over if a robot goes off the line. The Quest for My Precioussss
Bring your Power Functions or remote-controlled LEGO robot and manuver within the maze to get points. Points can be accumulated by getting to the finish line within the time limit, triggering objects within the maze or bringing objects to the finish line. DETAILED DESCRIPTION, RULES, & SIGN-UP FORM
Scree Challenge
Bring a motorized offroad MOC and race up an incline of loose bricks. DETAILED DESCRIPTION, RULES, & SIGN-UP FORM
Siege Engine Contest
Bring a brick-flinging device such as a catapult or trebuchet, points given for distance and accuracy. DETAILED DESCRIPTION, RULES, & SIGN-UP FORM
Sumo Tournament
In this contest, two autonomous robots attempt to push each other out of a circular arena using mechanisms, cunning, and brute force. There will be multiple preliminary rounds to seed an elimination bracket which determines the winner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION, RULES, & SIGN-UP FORM
